+700 staff increase through takeover of Aptus

We have some major news to get the New Year off to a productive start: on 4 January, AUSY Group finalised the complete takeover of the French company Aptus. With this move our group takes on more than 700 employees active across 9 sites in France, 1 site in Spain and another site in Tunisia.

Aptus was established in 1997 and will substantially reinforce our activities in the energy, aerospace and industrial sectors, as well as in the areas of telecommunications, banking and insurance. Many of the company’s projects are carried out on a flat-fee basis, and for the previous financial year calculated over 15 months it generated turnover of EUR 79.6 million.

This takeover represents a clear step forward for AUSY Group in our efforts to consolidate our market position as well as tap into new markets.  As a group, we will be able to more effectively deploy our service lines for the benefit of our clients as well as benefit from more direct access to complex, innovative and large projects.

With this operation AUSY Group strengthens its position within the sector and achieves greater critical mass with its more than 3,000 employees, sites in 7 countries and over 600 customers. Aptus joining the group is an integral part of AUSY’s expansion plans, which in the first phase include a turnover target of EUR 300 million by the end of 2012.
